Donna Pierce, ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ associate professor of physics and astronomy, speaks to students at Henderson Ward Stewart Elementary about the upcoming Aug. 21 solar eclipse. Pierce spoke to students throughout the Starkville-Oktibbeha Consolidated School District about eclipse safety and answered scientific questions about the eclipse. She will give a public lecture Sunday in advance of ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ's eclipse viewing event Monday on the Drill Field.
