Retiring State Rep. Tyrone Ellis, D-Starkville, was one of the speakers who helped lead a peaceful Unity Vigil for Charlottesville in the ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ Junction area near Davis Wade Stadium on Wednesday [Aug. 16]. Approximately 300 people attended, including both Starkville residents and ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ students, faculty and staff. The event was organized to show support for the students, faculty and staff at the University of Virginia and for the people of Charlottesville. The vigil at ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ coincided with a similar event on the UVA campus Wednesday night.
