Honoring Martin Luther King Jr.
Members of the campus and local communities gathered Wednesday [Jan. 20] in front of Mississippi State's Y.M.C.A. Building for an evening candlelight ceremony honoring the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. Sponsored by the campus , and , the event included a reading of King's "I Have a Dream" speech and spiritual songs. Other activities held this week in celebration of the Baptist minister, humanitarian and civil rights activist included ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ's 22nd annual MLK Jr. Day Unity Breakfast at The Mill at ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ Conference Center.
