STARKVILLE, Miss—Mississippi State staff in the College of Forest Resources and the Forest and Wildlife Research Center are being honored with annual awards for excellence.   

Wes Burger, dean of the College of Forest Resources and director of the Forest and Wildlife Research Center, said the four stand-out individuals being recognized work diligently to advance the mission of CFR and FWRC.  

“These professional and support staff members go above and beyond to help our students and advance the important research our faculty are engaged in each and every day,” Burger said.

This year’s honorees include:

Shawna Johnson, administrative assistant I for the Department of Sustainable Bioproducts, CFR/FWRC Doris Lee Memorial Staff Award, in the support staff category. Johnson has been with ̫ӳ four and a half years assisting with the day-to-day operations of her department.

Cade Booth, research associate II for the Department of Forestry, CFR/FWRC Doris Lee Memorial Staff Award, in the professional/non-faculty category. Booth has been with ̫ӳ for 22 years and helps manage departmental facilities and assists with research.

LaDonna Bullman, program and grant development specialist for the Forest and Wildlife Research Center and the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station, the CFR/FWRC Beverly Smith Professional Staff Award. Bullman has been at ̫ӳ for nearly 30 years and handles grant and contract submissions for both FWRC and MAFES.

Troy Lindsey, research technician, CFR/FWRC Beverly Smith Support Staff Award. Serving ̫ӳ for 27 years, Lindsey works in the aquaculture unit at the MAFES H.H. Leveck Animal Research Center, commonly known as South Farm.
