Football fans encouraged to review ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ gameday information, policies

STARKVILLE, Miss.—To ensure a safe and enjoyable gameday experience, Mississippi State football fans and campus visitors are encouraged to review available gameday information and policies and be mindful of changes for the 2018 season.

Beginning with Saturday’s 6:30 p.m. game against Stephen F. Austin, metal detectors will be implemented at all gates of Davis Wade Stadium, and fans should arrive early. For more information on the new safety initiative and details on the security screening process, visit .

Visitors utilizing public parking lots on campus may notice two new changes. Through ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ’s new partnership with SP+, fans can search, reserve and purchase in advance public parking spaces through parkmobile.com or the parkmobile.com app. Fans are encouraged to use debit and credit cards to pay for public parking. ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ has increased the amount of public ADA parking available by adding two lots on the south and north ends of campus. Those lots, located in the Thad Cochran Research, Technology and Economic Development Park and in the Rec Plex off of Hail State Boulevard, will be serviced by ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ Parking and Transit Services shuttle buses. Fans planning to tailgate may begin leaving tents in tailgate areas beginning at 5 a.m. on Friday. The Junction will officially open for tailgate and tent setup at 4 p.m.

Beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, free transits from downtown Starkville, the Research Park, the Wise Center and the Mississippi Horse Park will begin running. SMART Transits run from Downtown to Old Main Academic Center Monday-Saturday, 7 a.m.-8 p.m. or 2 hours after the game, whichever is later. For gameday transit maps, visit .

Stadium gates will open at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. As the game ends, ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ will enact its postgame traffic egress plan, which can be viewed at .
