ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ alumna named president of Copiah-Lincoln Community College

A ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ alumna has been named the next president of Copiah-Lincoln Community College. The institution’s board of trustees announced Feb. 1 that Jane Hulon will become Co-Lin’s eighth president, succeeding President Ronnie Nettles, who will retire July 1.

Hulon earned a doctorate in higher education administration from Mississippi State in 2000.

Her experience includes academic, career-technical, student services, institutional development, information technology, business services, athletics, workforce and other non-credit areas.

She is serving in her 10th year at the vice president’s level at the college. In her current role as vice president of the Wesson Campus, Hulon supervises all instructional and instructional support programs located on the Wesson Campus and works closely with the leadership at the Natchez Campus and Simpson County Center. In addition, she has been responsible for overseeing the SACSCOC accreditation process for the institution.

In past positions at Co-Lin, she has served as the vice president of instructional services, academic dean of instruction, and director of planning and research. Hulon also has held instructional, research and administrative positions at several locations, including East Mississippi Community College’s Golden Triangle Campus, ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ, Mississippi Department of Education, Jones County Junior College and Jones County Schools.

Hulon attended Jones County Junior College and received both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Education degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Southern Mississippi.
